National Park Week 2011

Get out and discover something new about your 394 national parks. This week in National Park Week where all national parks have free admission! What a great concept! If I could take off a week and roam around our great nation I would go to:

1. Yosemite National Park

2. Redwood National Park

3. Cumberland Island National Park (childhood favorite)

Welcoming the Weekend

Finally the weekend is here and I am day dreaming of the approaching summer when I can leave town for a few months and R-E-L-A-X! The boy and I aren't able to steal away very often due to my work obligations and his baseball schedule, but every once in awhile we will take a drive to his hometown of St. Augustine, FL for a mini break away from stress and burdens. Do you have a town or place you vacate to escape from day-to-day life for awhile?

A few of my favorite places to visit when I am in "the Aug": -San Sebastian Winery for a glass of local spirits and a spectacular view -The Columbia Restaurant for amazing Spanish cuisine -And absolutely no weekend visit is complete without going to the beach with friends on Sunday w/ a bottle of RUM in tow then ending the day with the festivities of Reggae Sunday at the Conch House
