When we arrived in the small town that surrounded the fumaroles, we were welcomed by the most beautiful tan brown skinned, big brown eyed children. They begged for food... begged for money... begged for attention. The little English that they did know were words like, "Please" which was usually followed by a heart breaking pout face that could melt the heart of the fiercest curmudgeon. I took several pictures of them put these are my favorites.
